CONTENT RATINGS

ARE MY BOOKS RIGHT FOR YOUR YOUNG READER?
This is a question I am asked quite often, and while I have readers of all ages, as a mother I know it can be difficult to navigate the ever-changing book world - especially if you have a young reader with a higher than average comprehension level. So, to make things a little easier on parents, I've included "ratings" on each of my series pages so that you can determine if the content would be appropriate for your reader. So as you explore my work, keep an eye out for the symbols below! And do not hesitate to reach out to me over social media with further questions.

THESE BOOKS WOULD LIKELY BE ACCEPTABLE FOR READERS OF ANY AGE. ANY ROMANTIC THEMES WILL BE LIMITED TO LIGHT KISSING ONLY - ON PAR WITH WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE IN MIDDLE GRADE WORKS. ANY VIOLENCE OR ACTION WILL BE FILTERED TO EXCLUDE EXCESSIVELY GRAPHIC CONTENT. COMPARABLE CONTENT WOULD BE THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES.

THESE BOOKS WOULD LIKELY BE ACCEPTABLE FOR MORE MATURE OR OLDER TEEN READERS. THERE MAY BE STRONGER THEMES OF ROMANCE, MORE GRAPHIC ACTION SCENES, AND/OR HARSH LANGUAGE. COMPARABLE CONTENT WOULD BE THE SHADOWHUNTERS SERIES OR TWILIGHT SAGA.

THESE BOOKS WOULD LIKELY BE ACCEPTABLE FOR VERY MATURE OR ADULT READERS ONLY. THE INTENSE THEMES OF ROMANCE, SEXUAL CONTENT, VIOLENCE, ADULT SITUATIONS, AND HARSH LANGUAGE ARE NOT FOR YOUNGER READERS. COMPARABLE CONTENT WOULD BE THE DRESDEN FILES, WORKS OF SARAH J MAAS, OR 50 SHADES SERIES.
